Our
Thriller does represent different social groups. In our thriller we
have three characters. Matt, mental ward worker, Adam, the van
driver, and Mauricio, the escape patient. Matt and Adam represent the
working class from there menial jobs. For example Adam has the
appearance of someone from working class. He is dressed with a shirt,
tie and a coat. The shirt and tie are part of his uniform for the Van
service he works for. The Hat is of his own choice which symbolises
would attire he would wear off duty as it look reasonably cheap and has a nike logo. The small glimpses of the van we
see in our thriller shows that he drives a very straight forwards
simple white van.
Matt
also has the appearance of someone who is very stereotypical of the
working class. We can see that he works in a mental ward and he is
one the duty of pushing out a dead body. His tattoo sleeve on his
left arm and his unshaven scruffy look also represents the working
class look.
Mauricio
is tall big dark male. His appearance is quite intimidating to the
audience in our thriller. It is quite hard to talk about his class as
we cannot depict a lot about him from the small glimpse we see of
him. His appearance and act however does tell us a lot about his
state. He is clearly mentally unwell, menacing and very aggressive.
Our
thriller is ver male dominant as all our characters are men. Our
thriller expresses a lot of violence and general male jobs. For
example is would be unfitting to have a woman pushing the trolley dow
the hall, because our in society maintenance handymen work is
generally much better fitted to a man rather than woman because men
are more physically build to these jobs than woman. It goes against,
subverting the stereotypical role in society for a woman if a woman
wore to carry out these jobs.
