I would have to say that our thriller falls somewhere between
the categories of high concept and low concept. I have been researching films
similar to our thriller and see what distribution and producing companies are
behind them. I started by researching prison escapes and tried to find some
unique escape that are roughly similar to our idea. I only researched British
films that are roughly similar to medium
concept level like ours. I found the British prison break film the escapist

I have also found the film Bronson directed by Nicolas Winding Refn, Director of Drive and Pusher.
The film is about a young boy who wanted to make a name of him self and attempted to rob a post office. It caused him a seven year sentence in jail. His sentence was raised to 34 years and 30 in solitary confinement after all the cries he committed inside the jails. He created an alter ego for himself “Charles Bronson”. Bronson is know as the most violent prisoner in Britain.
The production company behind the
production is Vertigo films,
Bronson is a british film filmed in the
UK
The Film was released in 2009, 15th
march, (UK) It was directed by Nicolas Winding Refn, (Drive, Pusher).
Bronson Played by Tom Hardy, drawing in Hardy fans and fans of other films the Hardy is in such as the Dark Knight Rises. The Film boosted Hardy's carer as it got
him further roles such as bane in the dark night. Hardy had to become
much bigger for the role of Bronson so his was put on a very strict
schedule. Christopher Nolen saw Hardy and chose him for the role.
The film Made £258,360 on its opening weekend in the UK alone.
both these films are british prison crime films that have both been a part of vertigo distribution or production,
Vertigo films
Vertigo Films is a UK Media company founded in 2002 to create and distribute commercially driven independent cinema.
Vertigo films main priority is to distribution lower concept films with much lower budgets that higher concept films. They were the first to produce and release a 3D production into cinemas, Street dance 3D.
Vertigo Films produce and distribute very typical english films such as football factory or Pusher, England London.
Vertigo films would be a great distributor for our film as it distributes the type genre that we are aiming at and its distributes lower concept films, such as ours. it also distributes over the globe, for example "Bronson" made $104,979 grossing on the 9th october 2009 in North America.
