New Prison Break Idea

Beginning: The sequence starts out with a dodgy trolley wheel moving quickly down the hallway. It cuts to the ceiling lights following them down the hall, flickering. The camera then tilts down as we see a man pushing the trolley down the hall. Next the over the shoulder shot changes to a POV shot from the point of the view of the man pushing the trolley. After this we get a shot of the content of the cart, which is a couple of large laundry bags. As he pushes the cart along the hallway, we see a door up ahead which he opens and immediately outside is a van with open doors and two security guards on either side of it. Next we see the bags being flung into the van and get a close up shot of the doors being shut and the van driving away all in one cut.

Middle: After the van drives away we get a POV from the van driver looking back at the prison to set the scene of where the bag has just come from. This makes the audience aware that the corridor belongs to a prison. Inside the van we get a shot of the bag as it slides form left to ride due to the cars movement. The driver looks into rear-view-mirror with a devious expression. Next we get a view of the van from the outside, to show where it is driving (this may vary depending on where we shoot). While on the road, we get the opening credits and the title “Prison Break”. The van pulls up to a gas station. The driver exits the vehicle and purposely misplaces the gas so that it is leaking onto the side of the van and the ground. He then bangs on the back door of the car twice to signify to the man in the bag that he has the okay to go. We watch the driver walk away form the van with no intention of returning.

End: Next we see the bag slice open but we don’t see who is inside. We see the security guard who was unaware of the bag opening, stand up but then fall back down because his neck has been snapped. Next we hear the van doors open as we only see the feet of this unidentified man jump out (shot is taken from under the van). He walks a little before we get an up-close shot of his mouth as he lights a cigarette. In slow motion we see the lighter flick open and the flame come out. He then throws back the lighter onto the leaking car as the car explodes. END.
