This is a shot of the outside of a prison in the film Law Abiding Citizen. which is a film about a man who get revenge on the murders that killed his family and gets convicted and sentence, who still manages to kill people from his cell. This is a really good example of a prison escape film as in the film the convict manages to get out of prison to kill and return by the night to his cell by creating an underground tunnel that leads him out of the prison. This is the ideal shot we are looking for in our film as it has a , van parked outside the prison gates, with a really good shot of the prison and security such as barb wire fencing, guards and dogs.
This is another ideal shot we want to use in our film. this is the shot of the dodgy trolly wheel thats flickers when being pushed by the convict. this is again from the film Law Abiding Citizen. when a steak is being delivered to to the convict as a source of bribery. this is a low level shot and close up of the dodgy trolly wheel with the burry background approaching as the trolly is pushed forward.
In the film the main character who we follow in the film turns bad. in the beginning of the film the character is good to us and we want him to succeed because we know he is a good guy, throughout the film we start to loose grip with the character and he turns bad ans starts killing people. in our thriller, our main character is bad aswel as he is a guilty convict who is escaping only to cause more havoc, very much like law abiding citizen. i only discovered the film about 3 weeks after we thought of our idea and film happend to satisfy a few of our ideal shots. We dont even know that the main character exists until he jumps out the back of that van in the gas station and i think that it will satisfy the audience need for contact with the main character.
